"The names of some human rights defenders are internationally recognised, however, the majority of them remain unknown. Journalists, lawyers, trade unions delegates, doctors who ensure the respect of certain fundamental human rights, Citizens active in their country to defend the rights of workers, women, child, indigenous people.Family and close relationships of disappeared persons or violations of Human Rights victims who strive against impunity.

And all individuals, society groups and entities that act in favour of fundamental rights are Human Rights Defenders."
