The Luis Carlos Pérez Lawyers’ Collective (CCALCP) is comprised of
women human rights defenders who have worked with victims of human
rights violations in Santander and Norte de Santander for the last
nine years. CCALCP accompanies and provides legal assistance to victims,
investigates and reports cases of human rights violations, and supports
organising processes with training in human rights and international
humanitarian law.This video focuses on the work of one such process
that CCALCP accompanies in the municipality of Toledo, where a community
of small-scale farmers are currently organising against coal exploration
and extraction by corporations in their region.
